Talasa is an ode to the Sea.
A meeting of cultures, a journey between two neighboring countries, Ecuador and Colombia.
From one I rescued the forms, from the other the aesthetics, thus personifying my vision and tribute to the maritime world. Always fascinated by the little treasures that the beach and the sea bring us, this collection is a praise to this universe.
I am a lifelong collector of everything that finds its resting place in the sands, transforming the beach into a complex cosmos, an everchanging patchwork of shells and pieces of unknown and misterious lifeforms.
Enchanted by the effects that the forces of erosion produce on them, I wanted in some way to perpetuate the beauty of these little beings, that, same as us, will live only to become the dust we step on when we meet the sea.
